The History of Everyman
RAF Wymeswold
Prestwold Driving Center, known today for its thrilling supercar experiences through Everyman Driving Experiences, has a storied past as Wymeswold Airfield, a vital WWII training site for Vickers Wellington bombers. Located on Prestwold Hall's grounds, the airfield operated from 1942 to 1969, initially hosting No 28 Operational Training Unit for bomber crew training and later No 1521 Beam Approach Training Flight. Post-war, it transitioned to transport crew training with Douglas Dakotas before becoming a fighter station with No 504 Squadron's Spitfires and Meteors until 1957. Even after the RAF's departure, aviation activities persisted with Field Aircraft Services and No 2 Flying Training School using the site until 1969.

Everyman Driving, originally established as Everyman Motor Racing in 1980, has a rich history as a key player in the driving experience industry. The company, initially a hub for motor racing enthusiasts, gained prominence for its thrilling driving adventures. A significant turning point came in 1992 when Darren, the current Managing Director, joined as an instructor, eventually leading the company with his passion and commitment.
Our Home
Under Darren's leadership, Everyman Driving relocated to its home track at Prestwold in 2010/11, enhancing the quality of its offerings and establishing Prestwold as an iconic venue for car enthusiasts. The company expanded its focus from traditional racing to diverse driving experiences, catering to a wider audience.
Everyman Driving offers a variety of car experiences, from high-performance sports cars to luxury vehicles, tailored to individual preferences and skill levels. This approach has fostered a loyal customer base spanning generations. The company's dedication to exceptional service and unforgettable adventures has created a lasting legacy of shared experiences and cherished memories.
